Tefal Stand Garment Steamer IT3480 – 2000W, 42 g/min Steam, Quick Heat-Up, Sanitizes & Refreshes All Fabrics

The Tefal Stand Garment Steamer IT3480 is a 2000W upright steamer built for households that want faster, more thorough fabric care without an ironing board. With a continuous steam output of up to 42 g/min, the IT3480 penetrates fabric fibers to smooth out creases while refreshing and sanitizing garments, curtains, and bed linen. As a stand garment steamer, it lets you treat hanging clothes directly, making it a practical addition to any home laundry routine. The Tefal IT3480 combines steady steam power with straightforward, everyday usability.

2000W Power for Continuous Steam

The Tefal IT3480 is powered by a 2000W motor that sustains a steam output of up to 42 g/min. This level of steam output helps the IT3480 work through everyday wrinkles in fabrics such as cotton and denim, so garments can be steamed and put away without extra passes. The steady 2000W performance is one of the defining specifications of this Tefal stand garment steamer, supporting consistent results session after session.

45-Second Heat-Up Time

One of the practical advantages of the IT3480 is its 45-second heat-up time. Rather than waiting several minutes before the first burst of steam, the steamer is ready almost as soon as it’s switched on. This quick heat-up makes the Tefal Stand Garment Steamer IT3480 convenient for last-minute touch-ups before heading out, as well as for longer steaming sessions when several items need attention.

Vertical Support System & Metal Steam Head

The IT3480 includes a vertical support system that allows one-handed steaming while keeping garments held in place, so there’s no need to juggle a hanger with one hand and the steamer with the other. Its large metal steam head is designed to distribute steam evenly across the fabric, helping reach areas like collars and cuffs with a stable, guided motion.

Three Adjustable Steam Settings

With three adjustable steam levels, the Tefal IT3480 can be tuned to suit different fabric types. A lower setting suits delicate fabrics, while higher settings apply more steam for thicker materials such as heavy cottons. This adjustability makes the IT3480 flexible enough for a wardrobe that mixes lightweight and heavier garments in the same session.

1.5-Litre Water Tank

The IT3480 is fitted with a 1.5-litre removable water tank that supports up to 40 minutes of continuous steaming. Because the tank can be refilled while the steamer is running, longer steaming sessions don’t need to be interrupted. The removable design also makes it simple to fill and empty the tank between uses.

Sanitizes While It Steams

Beyond smoothing wrinkles, the steam produced by the IT3480 is confirmed to eliminate up to 99.99% of bacteria on treated fabrics. This makes the Tefal Stand Garment Steamer useful for more than clothing — it can also be used on curtains, upholstery, and bed linen where a quick refresh and sanitizing pass are helpful.

Why Choose the Tefal Stand Garment Steamer IT3480

The Tefal IT3480 brings together steady 2000W power, a fast 45-second heat-up, and a vertical support system that keeps the steaming process manageable on your own. Its three steam settings and 1.5-litre tank mean it can adapt to different fabrics and longer sessions, while the sanitizing effect of the steam adds a practical hygiene benefit alongside wrinkle removal. For anyone looking to replace an ironing board with an upright steamer, the IT3480 offers a Tefal model built around convenience, coverage, and confirmed everyday performance.
